| This beauty was bought from an American expat living in Ampang, Malaysia. He probably was a hardcore biker in his younger days but up til now, the bike had been covered in a layer of protective dust in his covered garage over the decades. The owner never shed a single tear when he sold her off for a mere 25 Ringgit in his garage sale. She was taking up too much space in the garage and was collecting dust. To the untrained eye, she would have been sold for scrap metal. I thought differently..she wasn't collecting dust, she was in a dusty cryogenic sleep...kinda like a time capsule: mummified for modern-day mountainbikers to discover. She was there to remind us that she was already tackling hills and singletracks in an era when many younger bikers today were still in diapers.. |
